Discover the Gesha 2722 Coffee Variety

The Meneses Siblings imported the Gesha 2722 coffee variety from the CATIE Botanical Garden in 2006. They adopted a unique AgroForestry System that used over ten species of native trees and provided three levels of shade to cultivate this exceptional variety. The Gesha 2722 matures at 5,080 fasl, with cherries that are slowly ripened under 70% shade. To enhance the sugar content, which can be transformed into Lactic acid, the cherries were carefully selected when they reached 22 Brixes. The Slow Dry method, which involves placing the cherries on Raised African Beds for 35 days, was used to process the beans with care. This blend is a result of six days of harvest, resulting in a rich and intricate cup profile that is one-of-a-kind.
